Sport Performance Training
Our SUMMIT Sports Performance Training program is the most comprehensive and results-oriented services in the Eastern Ontario region. Summit Sport Performance prides itself in supplying the athlete with the complete training experience.
The core elements of our Sports Performance program are developed through the vision, passion, and direction from our Director of SUMMIT Sports Performance-Morris Lamer.
Moe is a Cornwall native and is fluently bilingual. He holds a Bachelor of Administration Degree from Athabasca University in Alberta. He is a Professional Member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is Director of Sports Performance for Summit Health & Fitness Club and Physical Limits Fitness Club. Coach Lamer is the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Cornwall Colts (CJHL) directing all in-season and off-season on-ice and off-ice conditioning. Coach Lamer is the off-ice Coordinator for the Cornwall Colts Futures Camp and Training Camp. Moe is the Manager and Program Director of the Summit Hockey Training Program.
Chris Sullivan is a certified personal trainer who holds a Can-Fit pro certificate and specializes in sports and team training. He attended the University of Ottawa and was a member of the varsity football team where he obtained an extensive knowledge of sports conditioning. Chris is a level one certified coach and has been involved in coaching for many years, coaching teams both in Cornwall, as well as in Ottawa at the prestigious Ashbury College.
SUMMIT Health & Fitness Club offers a specialized training program for athletes competing in a variety of disciplines. In effect, this program is an advanced program based on a personalized functional movement assessment.
SUMMIT Sport Performance training encompasses the following:
- GPP training (General Preparation Phase) to condition the athlete.
- Education on proper exercise technique and on proper warm-up to promote performance enhancement and safety.
- Olympic Lifting to help develop explosiveness and full body coordination.
- Core training to achieve functional strength/power development.
- Plyometrics, agility, and sprint training to develop speed and acceleration.
- Injury Prevention exercises to ensure proper range of motion and correction of muscle imbalances/weaknesses.
- Development of mental toughness and work ethic.
- Sport Specific and Exercise Rehabilitation services.
